The Beauty of How Ink is Made

When I first came across this video, I thought, "Do I really care how ink is made?" But as I watched the film, all of the sudden I found myself caring a lot about how ink is made. This filmmaker found beauty and life in what others may pass right over. And isn't it the same with writing songs? We make something everyday become something epic.

(This film is best viewed in full screen, high definition.)

Keep writing,

  1. I haven't watched the video yet (David's sleeping in the next room and I don't want to wake him up), but I miss the "how stuff is made" segments on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Also, your comment about making epic out of the everyday reminds me of a quote I recently heard: "Love and art do not embrace what is beautiful but what is made beautiful by this embrace." - Karl Kraus I'm still trying to decide what exactly I think that means....

  2. Yeah, I always think of the Mr. Rogers episode where they show how Crayons are made. Still interesting to this day!
